Schaffhausen/Corridonia, August 2011 – Masters of their respective crafts, the Swiss watchmaking company IWC
Schaffhausen and the Italian high-end shoe manufacturer Santoni stand for unique products of the highest quality.
Already their partnership has resulted in straps manufactured by hand exclusively for IWC Schaffhausen.
“The values we share with Santoni form an ideal basis for working in partnership,” explains Georges Kern, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen. “We are particularly pleased that the extravagant Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days from IWC is firmly held by these high-quality leather straps from Santoni.”
Santoni has celebrated its craftsmanship in Paris, at the corner IWC, in Le Bon Marché. Santoni has recreated a real laboratory where you could see the artisans at work showing the public the particular process of hand-colouring of the leather, re-proposed technique also for the Santoni alligator leather strap. A charming way to celebrate the partnership and redefine an exhibition space, representing the heart of a company totally oriented towards tradition and innovation
